This charming cookbook is a 1974 reprint of the original 1880 book.
Maria Parloa was a well known cook of the late 19th century, and she published this cook book in 1880. Copyright laws were not as they are today and the company now known as General Mills simply imprinted its own company identification on the cookbooks. General Mills reprinted the book in 1974 as a part of then upcoming 100th anniversary.
As the book states: "Miss Parloa's cookbook is much more than a nod to nostalgia. It is an authentic glimpse of life almost 100 years ago".
The paperback book as a lovely illustrated cover and nostalgic advertising throughout.
The book is 11 inches high and 8 inches across. The book is 76 pages and it is in excellent condition.
