DEREK ROOT is a prominent listed Canadian artist - he graduated from the Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 1985 - a founding member of the West Coast art group FUTURA BOLD along with Douglas Coupland, Angela Grossman and Atilla Richard Lukacs - 'The Young Romantics' exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1985 catapulted Derek Root to prominence - known for a variety of styles and mediums as well as major art installations in prominent architectural settings - his paintings are collected by both corporate and private clients in Canada and beyond.
