Antique original Vanity Fair fox hunting lithograph print of Lord Southampton. The Caption Reads: " The Sinner " March 6, 1907. Vanity Fair was a British weekly magazine published from 1868 to 1914. Founded by Thomas Gibson Bowles, it offered its readership articles on fashion, current events, the theatre, books, social events and the latest scandals. A full-page, color lithograph of a contemporary celebrity or dignitary appeared in most issues, and it is for these caricatures that Vanity Fair is best known today.
Print measures approximately 10 1/2" x 15 1/2". It is in good condition with clean margins. There is a faint vertical white line in the background of the image. There are two tape marks along the outer edges of the margins that will completely cover when matted. Print and will mat and frame nicely. less
