Fine 19th Century (possibly earlier) turquoise blue glazed porcelain flower vase later mounted as lamp on carved gilt wood stand . The lamp is decorated on each side with Guanyin, the goddess of compassion, mercy and kindness sitting on a lotus flower with young disciples in high relief within white ground panels. Later modified/ drilled for use as a lamp and mounted on fitted, carved, gilt wood base with matching gilt wood cover at top. Double cluster light socket with beaded pull chain switches. One chain still retains carved jade pull. The unglazed base of the vase is unmarked as shown. The wood base of lamp is weighted with lead. The lamp is in in very good condition with wear to the gilt finish on base and over. It is in good working order, but wiring is old and should be replaced for safety. Finial is later replacement. The lamp shade is for display purposes only and is NOT included with lamp. Please see all photos.
