Complete Pair of Art Deco Pendant Lights Circa 1935 - image 1 of 15

Complete Pair of Art Deco Pendant Lights Circa 1935. These “Skyscraper” motif globe pendants are white milk glass with black enamel outlines. All of the original mountings are complete including the ceiling cap (beauty ring) surround. Everything is in excellent condition.

The globes alone are an iconic representation of American Art Deco design. Paired with their original Virden fittings they offer the buyer a highly unique opportunity to make rare acquisition.

The “Crown” style hub and fitter and the accompanying ceiling mounted “beauty ring” are in original condition. All metal parts are steel. There a couple of very small areas of black enamel loss on the globes. There are no marks identifying the maker but Virden/Markel is the most likely source for these lamps as they appear here. We were able to acquire these in this near ready-to-use condition. They need to have the wiring updated but otherwise could be installed as is.

We checked and cleaned everything and thought it best to leave further changes to our customer. Paint on portions of the edge of the ceiling surrounds were left intact since it shows that the hardware has never been painted over.

PLEASE ask for more photos or description as needed.
