This beautiful cigarette case is fully hallmarked and was made in Birmingham England in 1905-06 by Charles Edward Adams. The case is beautifully engraved with flowers including roses, foliage, and elegant scrolls on both the front and back. It has a cartouche but has never been monogrammed. The case is small and was likely a woman's, approximately 3" by 2", and is 1/2" deep, all measured from the exterior. It is sterling silver with a gilded interior and weighs 41.7 grams. One of the corners has a small dent and the straps have lost their elasticity. The case is otherwise in excellent condition with only minor signs of age or use that do not detract.
