Today I'm offering for sale 4 early TV Guides from the 1950's and 1960's that feature Richard Boone, Mary Martin, and Craig Stevens on the front covers. During the Golden Age of Television loads of great TV shows were made and many are still being broadcast on TV 60 plus years later. From the 1950's through the 1960's and into the 1970's every family could gather together to watch TV with their kids and not worry that they may be surprise that something that was extremely offensive. Listed below is each TV Guide its condition and some of the programs found for that week to be shown.
1.) TV Guide featuring Mary Martin on cover dated November 23, 1957, Volume 5, Number 47, and is a Philadelphia Edition. Some stories in this issue are about-- Polly Berger---Kate Smith---George Gobel---and Eddie Fisher---The Thanksgiving Day Parade---Live musical performance of Annie Get Young Gun starring Mary Martin---and the debut of The Pied Piper of Hamelin starring Van Johnson.
**Condition: The front and back covers are in very good condition and very clean. The inside pages are in very good condition and very clean. *Covers: There is light edge wear, lightly bumped corners, and tiny tears at the top and bottom of the spine.
2.) TV Guide featuring Richard Boone on front cover dated February 28, 1959, Volume 7, Number 9, and is a Philadelphia Edition. Some stories in this issue are--How to Judge Your TV Etiquette---Bachelor Father's John Forsythe---Peter Lind Hayes Show---Bing Crosby's next TV show---John Russell of TV show The Lawman---and Richard Boone from playing Paladin on his hit TV show Have Gun Will Travel to playing Mr. Lincoln on stage followed his new TV show The Medic.
**Condition: The front and back covers are in Good Condition and very clean. The inside pages are in excellent condition, very clean and bright. *Covers: There is light surface wear, edge wear, some crease marks on the corners and edges, and a small tan stain near the bottom left back corner.
3.) TV Guide featuring Richard Boone as Paladin on the front cover dated January 7, 1961, Volume 9, Number 1, and is a Nebraska Edition. Stories in this issue are--Who's the Master in Television House---The Paradox of Paladin---Shakespeare on TV---Pro Football The Detroit Lions vs The Cleveland Browns---the lineups feature Football Hall of Fame players including Jim Brown---Bob Hope Christmas Show---and a Tribute to President Eisenhower.
**Condition: The front and back covers are in very good condition, very clean. The inside pages are in very good condition, very clean.*Covers: There is wear to the spine, surface wear, crease marks at the top right front corner and the bottom left back corner.
4.) TV Guide featuring Lola Albright and Craig Stevens, the stars of the TV show Peter Gun on the front cover. It is dated February 11, 1961, Volume 9, Number 6, and is a Nebraska Edition. Stories found in this issue are--Why do You Laugh---Dancing a Musical Trip to Yesterday in Disneyland---Showcasing the UN to the World---and What Ever Happened to Wally Cox.
**Condition: The front and back cover is in fair condition. The inside pages are in very good condition and very clean. *Covers: There is light water stains on front cover, crease marks at the corners, wear-tears-and tiny pieces missing along the spine.
