For those who fell in love growing up watching Shirley Temple in movies in the 1930's and 1940's I'm offering for sale two wonderful Life Magazines which feature Shirley Temple on the front covers and a Shirley Temple and Buddy Ebsen Penny Arcade Card. She began her acting career at age 3 and for over the next 18 years she became a massive box office hit as she sang and danced entertaining millions of her fans all around the world. During that period of time she was bigger than any adult movie star earning over $50,000 per movie. Listed below is a description of each magazine and the arcade card and their condition:
1.)July 11, 1938, Volume 5, Number 2; 68 pages; Featured on the front cover is a young 9 year old Shirley Temple sitting in a wheat field in Kansas. On May 31, 1938, Mr. and Mrs. George Temple decided it was time for Shirley to see America so they jumped in the Cadillac and began their trip across the country finally ending up in New York. You get to read all about her stops along the way and some very famous people who couldn't wait to see her. Throughout all 68 pages you'll be entertained with some great articles and stories and some great vintage ads.
**Condition: The front and back covers are in good- condition. The inside pages are in very good condition, very clean and bright. *Covers: There is minor surface wear and light soiling, wear/chipping/tears/and a few tiny pieces missing along the spine, chipping/tiny tears/and tiny crease marks along the right front edge, and a crease mark at the bottom right front corner. There is also a tiny crease mark at the bottom left back corner.
2.)March 30, 1942, Volume 12, Number 13; 130 pages; Featured on the front cover is a 12 year old Shirley Temple. Life features Shirley in her very first glamour photos before turning 13 on April 23, 1942. The photos taken are quite stunning and capture a very pretty young lady. Throughout all 130 pages there are some fantastic stories and articles related to WWII and everyday things facing the people of America as the war rages on overseas.
**Condition: The front and back covers are in good- condition. The inside pages are in good- condition, clean and bright. *Covers: There is light wear along the spine, a tear at the top and bottom of the spine, surface wear, soiling, minor chipping along the right front edge, and chipping and a ¼” tear along the left back edge. *Inside pages: There is a ½” tear along the right edge of the first inside page, and minor chipping along the right edge of page 13, 65, 67, and the last 3 pages. There are also 4 inside pages that are not attached to the rest of the inside pages.

3.)1930's Shirley Temple and Buddy Ebsen Penny Arcade Card; Photo is of Shirley and Buddy dancing "At The Codfish Ball" in the movie from 1936 titled "Captain January"; card measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/2"; Black and White photo penny arcade card; **Condition: Very good condition; lightly soiled on the back of the card.
