Today I'm offering two classic1943 Vintage Photoplay Movie Mirror Magazines that feature Ann Sheridan and Veronica Lake on the front covers. If you’re a big fan of movie stars from the 1940's then these two fantastic magazines will keep you entertained for hours. Listed below is each magazine, it's condition and some of the stories and articles found in each:
1.)Photoplay Movie Mirror Magazine, May 1943, Volume 22, Number 6, 108 pages. Featured on the front cover is the beautiful Veronica Lake. You'll find 4 full pages that show upcoming movies--14 color photos of movie stars--reviews of movies of the month--loads of short stories--and loads of ads that feature movie stars in military uniform. This magazine features a great Chesterfield cigarette ad showing a U.S. Ranger enjoying a great smoke.**Condition: The covers are in fair+ condition and the inside pages are in very good condition. *Covers: There is wear, small tears, chipping, and tears at the top and bottom of the spine. There is chipping and small tears to the right front edge and left back edge, and tiny crease marks at the top and bottom right front corners and top and bottom left back corners. There are also some light soiling and pencil marks to the front cover, and minor soiling to the back cover. *Inside pages: Very clean and bright.
2.)Photoplay Movie Mirror Magazine, November 1943, Volume 23, Number 6, 120 Pages. Featured on the front cover is the beautiful Ann Sheridan. There are 10 color photos of maybe your favorite movie star. You'll find stories on Judy Garland, Gary Cooper, Deanna Durbin, Ray Milland, and numerous short stories on other stars. There are loads of advertisements showing stars selling things all through the 120 pages. **Condition: The covers are in fair+ condition and the inside pages are in good- condition. *Covers: There is surface wear. There are small tears, wear, tears and tiny pieces missing at the top and bottom of the spine. There is a piece missing, chipping, and tiny tears along the bottom front edge. There are also tears and chipping along the right front edge, the left back edge, and the back bottom edge. *Inside pages: There is chipping at the bottom edge of the first 52 pages, a small piece is missing from the bottom edge of page 53, and pink staining along the top edges of the first 45 pages.
Overall the two magazines are in nice condition for being 72 years old. Two neat magazines for the fans who love reading all about the classy, beautiful, and handsome movie stars of the 1940's.
