Today I'm offering for sale 4 War Comics featuring stories from WWI and WWII and the Korean War. If you grew up in the 1950's like I did, many of the little boy's read all these comic books during their childhood. Listed below is each comic and its condition:
1.)"G.I. Joe", a Ziff-Davis Publishing Company dated August 1953, Number 24, Volume 3. There are 4 stories inside: 3 G.I. Joe and 1 cartoon story titled "The Yardbirds". **Condition: The covers are in fair + condition while the inside pages are in good condition. *Covers: The front cover is not attached to the rest of the comic. There is edge wear and chipping, and tiny to small pieces missing from the front and back covers. *Inside pages: The very last page is missing the top 1/3 as the owner cut out that section because of an ad. Overall a fun comic to read even in its fair+ condition.
2.) "Battle Ground", an Atlas Publication dated May 1956, Volume 1, Number 11. There are stories inside include--One Man Against the Enemy--Escape to Freedom--Mighty .75's!--Blaze of Glory!--and The Lost Patrol. **Condition: The covers are in fair+ condition and the inside pages are in good condition. The covers and inside pages are clean. *Covers: There is chipping and tears along the edges and spine, and tiny to small pieces missing from the covers. A boys name is written in pencil on the front cover. *Inside Pages: The first page has two tiny tears along the top edge. One inside page have a 4" tear along the bottom edge, a few pages have tiny tears along the bottom edge, and the last two pages have tears along the right edge.
3.) "Fighting Man", an Excellent Publishing Company dated July 1953, Volume 1, Number 8. There are 4 stories inside including--Scarlet Wheels--Enemy Landing--Bloody Ice--and Guardhouse Lawyer. **Condition: The covers are in fair condition and the inside pages are in good condition. *Covers: There is chipping and tears along all the edges and the spine, tape holding the front cover to the back cover, tape holding the back cover to the inside pages, and tiny to small pieces missing from the covers. A boys name is written in pencil on the front cover. *Inside Pages: There is 1/2 of one inside page missing(this page only has a very short story on it). The first inside page has a water stain at the top right corner.
4.) "Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos", a Marvel Comics Group Publishing dated May 1970, Volume 1, Number 78. There is one story--Escape...or Die! **Condition: The covers are in good- condition and the inside pages are in very good condition. *Covers: Clean, chipping and tears along the spine, tiny pieces missing at the top and bottom of the spine and the bottom left back corner.
