During the 1940's and the 1950's the Lou Walters and E. M. Loew Latin Quarter Theater Restaurant had offered some of the greatest entertainment in all of New York City. Mr. Loew always gave the public a wonderful show with great stars, exquisite girls, good food, and moderate prices that kept people coming back again and again.
Today I'm offering a 1956 Latin Quarter Theater Souvenir Program with loads of photos showing Beautiful Luscious Mademoiselle's from America and Europe in scantily clad costumes. The show played to packed houses almost every night drawing people from all across the country and from around the world.
There are 32 pages packed with black and white photos of the girls, back stage pictures, and the girls performing. There are two pages of the syndicated columnists and two pages of celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Jack Benny and Jerry Lewis and others who performed at the theater. Included too is a full page photo of the Latin Quarter which is located at 48th Street and Broadway in Times Square. There are also illustrations that were drawn by the famous artist Wesley Morse. The program measures 8 7/8" by 11 3/4".
**Condition: The front and back covers are in good condition. The inside pages are in very good condition, very clean and bright. *Covers: There are three small spots with light soiling on front and a fingerprint at the top edge of the back cover. The corners have bumps.
If your mom or dad or a grandparent grew up in New York City during the 1940's and 1950's I bet they may have ventured to the Latin Quarter to see a show. Wouldn't be neat to give them this souvenir program and see the surprise look on their face when they open their gift.
