Pictured for sale a very rare YAOU “General” 2Band 7 Transistor AM/Short Wave Radio, Model 7GA-242, made by the YAOU Radio Company, LTD., of Japan. The radio first appeared in 1960. The radio comes in its original box, leather case, detachable telescopic antenna, two carrying straps, and an ear plug case, however the ear plug is missing. The radio is made of a two tone green and white hard plastic. This radio is in excellent working order and brings in many stations even indoors. Listed below are features found on the radio.

The frequency range is MW 540-1600KC / SW 4-11MC. It has a 2 ½” Speaker and uses four AA batteries. It measures 4 1/16" high x 6 9/16" wide x 1 1/16" deep and weighs 1 lb. 7 oz. with battery in. There is also an Owners Manual. Also you could purchase an adapter for the radio which was plugged into the back of the radio without removing the batteries.
