Offered for sale is this beautiful Erna A. Kasaback framed lithograph print titled, " I Pray The Lord My Soul To Keep". Erna Kasakack was born in 1905 and passed away in 1989. During her life time she was recognized as a great American pastel artist.
This stunning print shows a young girl with a blue ribbon in her curly blonde hair kneeling saying her prayers. She's dressed in a long sleeve pale blue night gown with white lace at the cuffs and collar.
In the lower left hand corner it shows E. G. Co. Inc. which is the abbreviation for the Edward Gross Company, Incorporated, of New York, New York. In the lower right hand corner it shows Kasaback, the artist’s name. Along the bottom edge of the picture it reads: K-13 Published and Copyrighted by Edward Gross Co., Inc., New York, New York 3, Painted by Erna Kasaback Litho., U.S.A.
The frame measures 9 1/8” x 11” while the print measures 8” x 10”. The frame is painted in a soft white and the inner edge of the frame is painted with the same powder blue found on the little girl’s dress. The back of the frame has a paper cover.
**Condition: This Kasaback Print and Frame are in very good condition. The frame is clean. The paper on the back of the frame has several tears.(please take a look at our photo) The print under the glass is also in very good condition.
Erna A. Kasaback was of Pennsylvania German decent and peacefully passed away with her last known residence was Washington Crossing, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Her strong faith was expressed in her wonderful pastels of young children of faith in her paintings.
