*Here's a little history about Life Magazine. The original Life was published between 1883 and 1936 and was a humor, general interest, and political satire magazine that poked fun at the rich and famous. Henry Luce, the founder of Time Magazine, purchased Life in 1936 and changed the magazine to emphasize photo journalism. Life became the first all-photographic American News Magazine. Life dominated the market for over 40 years. It could be found in every business and home all across the country.
Vintage Life magazines are highly collectable and the WWII issues and those with famous movie stars and sport stars figures on the cover are sought after.
These two anniversary issues would be a great gift for anyone who grew up in the 1940's and 1950's and will surely bring back some great memories. Why not surprise someone with two of the most sought after Life Magazines ever published.
