Pictured for sale are these two wonderful pieces of Marilyn Monroe Memorabilia that include a fantastic Screen Stories Magazine and a classy Marilyn Monroe Change Purse. Below is a description of each item and its condition:
1.)Screen Stories Magazine dated November 1954, Volume 52, Number 5, by Dell Publishing Company. Featured on the front cover is the beautiful Marilyn Monroe in a stunning sexy dress she wore in the hit movie, There's No Business Like Show Business. This particular movie magazine tells its readers all about up-coming movies that have been released or are ready to be released along with special features I'm sure you'll enjoy reading. This magazine has 82 pages and measures 8½" wide x 11" long.
There are 4 full page ads in this Screen Stories Magazine that feature movies that were playing and eight movies that the magazine has reviewed. The movies included are: There's No Business Like Show Business---The Barefoot Contessa starring Ava Gardner and Humphrey Bogart---Dream Beat starring Alan Ladd---The most famous Holiday Movie, White Christmas, starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellan, Dean Jagger and Mary Wickes--Air Command starring Jimmy Stewart and June Allyson---Rogue Cop starring Robert Taylor and Janet Leigh---Bengal Brigade starring Rock Hudson and Arlene Dahl---and Unchained starring Barbara Hale and Chester Morris. On the back cover is a picture of Jack Webb and Ben Alexander who starred in their hit TV show Dragnet.
**Condition of Magazine: The front and back covers are in fair+ condition; The inside pages are in very good condition, very clean and bright. There is wear, several tiny pieces missing from the spine, and there are tears at the top and bottom of the spine. There is light wear to the front and back covers, chipping along all the outer edges and tiny crease marks at each of the four corners. There is also an address label on the front cover. There is minor chipping along the right edge of the last 5 inside pages.
2.)Zipper Change Purse which shows Marilyn in a pose from her hit movie, Let's Make Love. The movie was a Jerry Wald's production and filmed by 20th Century Fox. The purse was made in 2004 by Charles K. Feldman Productions and was retired the same year. This Change Purse measures 5¼" long x 3¾" wide. Inside there is a place for several credit cards, a zippered change pouch, and two open pockets to store whatever you want. **Condition: This Marilyn Monroe Change Purse is in near mint condition, very clean and bright, inside and out.
