Mr. Linkletter was a very smart businessman and shared his wealth by donating vast amounts of his income for child causes while living. Did you know he was a major investor and promoter of one of the greatest kids toy ever invented---"The Hula Hoop". Below are a few of the things said by the kids:
What's your ambition? To be Miss Universe. How do you get to be that? You grow up and have everything in the right place. What's the funniest thing that happened to you, Linda? My mom told me to go lay an egg. What's so funny about that? I don't know how. What's alimony? It's something Davy Crockett fought for and finally lost. What does your mom do? She's a Sunday School teacher. What does she do for fun? She plays poker and drinks beer. These are just a sampling of wonderful side sticking bits of young truths from out of the mouths of babes.
What a wonderful gift for your mom or dad or your grandparents who grew up watching Art Linkletter on TV. These books will definitely bring back many wonderful memories!
