Offered for sale is a complete box of PGA Tour Golf Cards from 1991, copyrighted by Pro Set, Incorporated, in the United States and Canada. This is a complete box which holds 36 foil packs. Each pack comes with 12 Photo and Stat Cards and 1 PGA Tour Pro Set Discount Card. Needed is a total of 285 PGA Tour and Senior Cards including 18 Rookie Cards to complete a full set.
The front of each colorful card shows the photo of the golfer and shows his stats on the reverse side from the 1990 PGA Tour. Numerous cards found in the set are worth several dollars a piece and the rookie John Daly Card can bring over ten dollars in mint condition. The box of cards still has the original plastic wrap around it, however it's missing the plastic on the top of the box. The box was opened at the top and one of the foil packs of cards was opened so I'm able to show you what a card looks like and why they're so collectable. Listed below are those cards from the opened pack:
Tom Byrum--Loren Roberts-Gary Cowan--Fred Couples--George Archer--Jodie Mudd--Larry Mize--Steve Elkington--Scott Verplank--Jim Dent--Rookie John Daly--and Hall of Fame Pro Arnold Palmer. Between John Daly and Arnold Palmer you already have at least $14.00 dollars worth of cards.
Also issued in this set is the Arnold Palmer Award won by Greg Norman, The Player of the Year winner Wayne Levi and The Player of the Year on the Senior Tour Lee Trevino. If these cards are in one of these packs they are worth at least three dollars a piece.
The first set of PGA Tour Golf Cards was issued in 1990.
