These two vintage pieces of household items including a 1940's Texaco Home Oil Can and a 1950's Hudson Pump Sprayers Duster are both useful and decorative.
The first item is a Texaco Home Lubricant Can, 3 fluid ozs, from The Texas Company, U.SA. This is a colorful illustrated can with a group of homes around the top portion and a short write up on how the lubricant can be used around your home on the bottom half of the back of the can. The can stands 6¾" tall and 1¾" in diameter.
**Condition: This Texaco Can is in very good condition. The colors are still bright with light amounts of surface scratches from normal usage.
The second item is a Hudson Pump Sprayer from the 1950's. The sprayer has a great looking green glass bottle which held either a powdered or liquid mixture for ducting or spraying flowers, bushes or insects. This is the kind of sprayer that was found around the home in the 1940,s and 1950,s and was made by the Hudson Manufacturing Company of Chicago, the number one company that made hand held sprayers for home use. The metal tube measures 10¼" long and the green glass bottle is 3½" in diameter. The glass bottle has "Made in U.S.A., and a diamond shape with a R in it, and the No. 6 and the No. 50" on the bottom of the bottle. The metal tube has "Hudson, Tested and Proved, Sprayers Dusters, World Standard of Value, Hudson, H. D. Hudson Manufacturing Co., Chicago, Ill.
**Condition: This Pump Sprayer/Duster is in very good condition and in great working order. The metal tube has surface scratching, a small dent, and two spots of what looks like light rust. The green glass bottle is in very good condition.
Both household items will make a neat gift any man on Fathers Day, Birthday, or Christmas, especially if he grew up in the 1950's and possibly used these items.
