Two wonderful vintage cookbooks, 1948 Brer Rabbit's and 1952 Kate Smith Cookbooks, featuring great classic recipes. Below is a description of each of the cookbooks and their condition:
1.)The 1948 Brer Rabbit's New Orleans Molasses Recipes Cookbook has 48 pages and over 100 recipes. The cookbook is broken down into Beverages, Breads, Buns, Cakes, Candies, Cookies, Desserts, Frostings, Frozen Desserts, Gingerbreads, Griddle Cakes and Waffles, Main Dishes, Muffins, Pies, Puddings, Salad Dressing, Sauces and Vegetables. The recipes are easy to follow while you try your hands at making delicious vintage recipes. **Condition: The front and back covers are in very good condition, very clean and bright. The inside pages are in near mint condition, very clean and bright. There is minor stress to the spine, a crease mark at the bottom left corner of the back cover.
2.)The 1952 Kate Smith chooses her 55 Favorite Ann Pillsbury Cake Recipes, First Edition. Tested recipes from Ann Pillsbury's Famous Kitchen especially created for Sno Sheen Cake Flour. This cookbook has 64 pages and all the recipes are for cakes, cupcakes, tea cakes, frostings, and fillings. Again this is another example of an easy to follow vintage cookbook. And while making these wonderful cakes and frostings why not put on a CD of Kate Smith Christmas Carols and start a new tradition with your kids. **Condition: The front and back cover is in near mint condition, very clean and bright. The inside pages are in near mint condition, very clean and bright.
Anyone who collects vintage cookbooks, may want to add these two wonderful cookbooks to their Cookbook Collection. If you can remember all the wonderful aromas that filled your house while growing up as you helped your mom or grandmother bake cakes and cookies or family meals, wouldn't be neat to give these two cookbooks as gifts.
