A carved presentation spoon from the Pennsylvania Scotch-Irish society in 1908-1909 to its president Harman Yerkes as depicted on the plaque. This interesting carving features an Indian headdress at the top of the spoon. The handle has lovely shamrocks and thistles. Inside the spoon bowl is a hand with three hanging balls atop a three pointed shield. On the sides of the bowl are the words Mush and Milk and Pioneer Porridge. Spoon is in very good condition except for a small chip on one edge of the bowl
