A stunning late Victorian era day cape.

This beautiful and hard to find Cape fastens at the neck with a single button, it is a two tiered cape made from thick red heavy cotton with quilted red satin edging and the most gorgeous cream floral cotton lace trim.

It has a short quilted collar, it is lined in a cream cotton.

The button fastener is a later replacement and it used to have a hook fastener.

It is such a beautiful elaborate cape, quite thick so fairly warm too.

It has not been cleaned by us so may require cleaning prior to use, specialist cleaning recommended.

Condition:
There are quite a few small holes in the red cotton fabric and small areas of wear / threading, some larger holes but not all of the way through, there is some staining at the back on the red cotton and also on the cream lining, the lace is in nice condition.
