This is a lovely Antique Silver Plated Gravy Boat from the 1800s. It would be a lovely addition to the dinner table to use for serving gravy or sauces.
It was made by William Hutton & Sons in the mid to late 1800s. It has Their maker’s mark, Hard Soldered and 5054 imprinted on the base.
The gravy boat has an elaborate handle and three legs. It has a pretty pattern around the edge. On one side it has a lovely etched design.
The Silver Plate is shiny with a bit of tarnish and a bit of wear, particularly to the feet. The are light scratches commensurate with age. Two feet curl up however all three feet sit solidly on the ground so the boat doesn’t rock.
It measures 18.5cm by 10cm (7 3/8 inches by 3 7/8 inches).
