Original watercolor by Indian / American artist G.D. Arul Raj, aka Gideon Raj. The artist was born in India and immigrated to the United States in the late 1940's. Settled in Laguna Beach in 1949. The work depicts a tropical monsoon, with figures, landscape, and small village. Set in a vintage picture frame that measures 21.5" x 36.5" x 2". The work itself is approximately 15" x 30". The age is estimated to be middle third of 20th century. Signed by artist, lower right.

The painting is very good vintage condition with vibrant colors, etc. The frame is in fair to good condition with paint loss and stains to the linen liner. The glass is in very good condition.
