Vintage Chinese chalkware set featuring a noble emperor and an elegant empress. Each stands 24" tall. Very fine detailing in on all four sides. These are estimated to date back to the early to mid portions of the 20th century. Both are in very good condition with vibrant colors. There are two areas of green paint loss to the emperors right arm sleeve (see photos) that could be touched up fairly easily. There is also a small chip to the fingers of the emperors right hand (see photos).
