1940's vintage Trifari necklace designed by Alfred Philippe. This gold plated necklace has a centerpiece with a spray of crystal baguette rhinestones bursting from a furled ribbon. It is signed "Trifari, Pat. Pend", but I found the patent #155,205. It was issued in 1949. This is true choker length, measuring just 15" end to end. The centerpiece is 1" wide. The necklace has a nice weight to it and is in excellent vintage condition. It is a book piece which can be seen on page 145 of "Costume Jewelry, A Practical Handbook & Value Guide" by Fred Rezazadeh.
