This elegant brooch was created the mid to late 1800s.
Condition Report:
Very Good - A little discolouration to the edge of one paste stone and a small are on the metal border of the brooch. This is only visible with close inspection under a magnifying glass. It is consistent with age and does not detract from the appeal of the piece.
The Details...
This rectangular brooch is constructed from silver tone metal. It features a collet set, purple glass stone, surrounded by round, colourless paste stones. These stones are claw set and mounted within diamond shaped panels. The brooch features a border detailed with a 'zig zag' pattern. The fastening pin is fitted to the brooch with a tube hinge and the brooch fastens with a 'C' catch. The brooch measures 3.75cm x 3.75cm.
