Shimmering and delicate, this bracelet dates from the 1920s. It features a typically Art Deco design, which can be enjoyed for centuries to come.
Good - Some discolouration to a few of the paste stones. This is consistent with age and use, but does not detract from the overall appeal of the piece.
This silver tone bracelet features a typically geometric Art Deco design encrusted with round, faceted, clear paste stones. The bracelet fastens with a box clasp and features a safety catch too. The bracelet is stamped on the catch with 'HA' inside a circle. Unfortunately, despite extensive research, it hasn't been possible to attribute a maker to this mark as yet. The bracelet measures 18.5cm in length.
A Short History...
During the 1920s and early 1930s, jewellery was influenced by the dawn of a new era. There was a push for all things modern after the shock of the First World War - people wanted to be cleansed of the old and celebrate the new. In the world of design a pure, hard-edged style was craved. This resulted in linear, geometric and symmetrical jewellery designs, as can be seen in this beautiful bracelet.
Wear it With...
This bracelet is perfect for evening wear or a special occasion. It would look beautiful with a little black dress, but equally chic with a bridal gown. Also, layer it with other bracelets of similar widths for a great stacked look.
