A Victorian 19th century watercolour painting. The paintings is a botanical study of an apple. The fruit is presented in wonderful realistic detail down to a blemish to the skin. The painting is on card measuring 8.25" x 9.25" and is in very good clean condition. The card is stuck to a sheet o paper and appears to have been mounted in a scrap book or album. On the reverse of the painting is a cartoon which was published in Punch in 1852 to mark the death of the Duke of Wellington. The study is perfect for framing and will make good decorative piece, perhaps in the study or kitchen.
