Antique Glass Tea Caddy with Sterling Silver Top & Base c.1920 (4.6oz) (H)6in. x (W)2.5in A simple, yet impressive Antique that will surely impress those who appreciate Sterling; as well as those with an affinity for Tea-related accessories. This lovely Antique Tea Caddy is a great Piece for use or display. Shop records indicate the Tea Caddy is American in origin, and has an approximate date of production set at or near the year (1920). The Tea Caddy is a product of: B-I Sterling & Co. It's comprised of: thick, quality, (clear), Pressed-Cut, Glass; as well as: thick, quality, [.925], Sterling, Silver. The Tea Caddy is styled in accordance to the Art Deco, artistic period. We see evidence of Art Deco influence in the: size, shape, and theme, of the Tea Caddy. The theme is perhaps best represented via the ornately, decorated, (Sterling) Silver Top; which is fashioned to replicate the look of Sugarcane or Pineapple. The ornate Sterling Top is really quite impressive & lends to the allure of the Antique. The Sterling Base allows for the Caddy to rest on any level surface, and shines brightly against the light. The condition of the Tea Caddy is without question, and it's apparent that it's been cared for very well.
