Vintage Watson Co. Sterling Silver Souvenir Spoon of: CHICAGO d.1933 (1.0oz) (L)6in. x (W)1.25in. A lovely Piece of Sterling Silver that will surely impress the likes of many; especially those with an admiration for History & Chicago. The Vintage Sterling Souvenir Spoon is a product of the Watson & Co. of North Attleborough, MA, and has a production date of (1933). The Souvenir Spoon is comprised entirely of: thick, quality, [.925] Sterling, Silver. Although manufactured during the Art Deco Era, the Spoon follows traits that are commonly associated with Neoclassical Revival. The Souvenir Spoon was commissioned in celebration of the (1933) World's Fair, held in Chicago, Illinois. The ornate characteristics of the Sterling allow for one to appreciate the craftsmanship involved in the creation of the Spoon. Said characteristics show (in great detail) the: Public Library of Chicago, City Hall, President Ulysses S. Grant Monument, the Masonic Lodge of Chicago; as well as the Latin terminology corresponding to the aforementioned sites of significance. Despite the Vintage Piece being nearly (90) years of age, it's in great condition. The Sterling is bright and illuminates its definition well via an appropriate amount of Patina.
