A most impressive & unique Piece of Antique English Sterling was forged to create this magnificent Match Safe. The Match Safe, or Vesta Case, is a product of the English Silversmith, Alfred Clark. It has a stamped date of production for the year (1904). The Match Safe is comprised of: thick, quality, [.925], (English) Sterling. The Sterling Match Safe is styled in accordance to a variety of artistic influences; particularly Post-Victorian/ Edwardian, with that of Rococo Revival & Art Nouveau. The Sterling Match Safe is decorated in great detail; with intricate, engraving, exhibiting a floral like theme. The Match Safe opens via a single hinge, thus allowing for easy, ergonomic, access; while preserving the Piece as a single unit. The Antique has a built-in Striker, to its bottom exterior; as well as a Bale, or Hook to the top of the Vesta Case.
