Antique R. Wallace & Sons Sterling Silver Hexagon-shape Tea Caddy c.1920 (6.2oz) (H)5in. x (W)3in. For those seeking a beautiful Piece of Antique Sterling Silver, this exquisite Hexagon-shape Tea Caddy will undoubtedly garner your attention & praise. The Antique Sterling Tea Caddy is exemplary in composition and complexion, offering optimal optics and rich reflections, one merely can't help but take notice of this Antique Tea Caddy. Shop records suggest the Antique Tea Caddy is American in origin; hailing from Wallingford, Connecticut. It's a product of: R. WALLACE & SONS (est.1834) and has an approximate date of production set at or near the year of: (1920). The Antique Hexagon-shape Tea Caddy is composed of two Pieces; the Jardiniere, and the (original), matching, Top. It's comprised of: thick, heavy, quality, polished, [.925], Sterling Silver. As noted, the Tea Caddy is Hexagonal in shape, and highly reflective in nature; in turn, creating captivating characteristics that capture the eye. In fact, the polished Sterling Silver enables for mirror-like refractions, so much so that a dulling effect was applied to the photos to ensure obstructive and intrusive reflections were kept to a minimum. Additionally, we see depictions of engraved floral patterns that encircle the Tea Caddy, lending modest decorative features to the Sterling Silver. The Antique Sterling Silver Tea Caddy is styled in rather strict accordance with the Art Deco, artistic period. Despite the Antique Tea Caddy being (100+) years in age, the Sterling Silver is in a most impressive and highly noteworthy state of condition. The polished Sterling is difficult to photograph, thus its true beauty isn't fully recognized until it's observed in person. However, with the exception of: faint, superficial, scuffing, and perhaps some Patina, the Tea Caddy looks fantastic. Clearly, a testament to the quality of the Sterling Silver and to the care it has since received. It should be noted, an elegant Monogram is engraved on the Top, offering originality to the Tea Caddy and accentuating its aesthetics, too. The Antique is stamped with, "Sterling" and numerical marks. Thus, guaranteeing to its [.925], (Sterling) Silver content; while lending credence to its intrinsic value as well. The Antique R. Wallace & Sons Sterling Silver Hexagon-shape Tea Caddy is stored in a: dry, secured, environment, and will be a coveted addition to one's collection of Antique Sterling Silver, or Tea Caddy's, both for use & decorative display.
