Antique International Silver Co. [.925] Sterling Compote c.1900 (2.6oz) (H)2.5in. x (W)5.5in. A beautiful Piece of Antique Sterling that will impress the likes of many, especially those with an affinity for Curio collectibles. The Antique Silver Compote exemplifies the quality & craftsmanship often associated with Turn of the Century production; doing so with aesthetic appeal and great grace, too. The Antique Compote is American in origin; hailing from Meriden, Connecticut. It's a product of the: INTERNATIONAL SILVER CO. (est.1898) and has an approximate date of production set at or near the year of: (1900). The Antique Compote is comprised of: thick, heavy, quality, polished, ornate, [.925], Sterling Silver. The Sterling Silver is enriched via intricate floralesque patterns that are embossed and decorative in nature; optimizing optical appeal. A pedestal base ensures for stability on any level surface; enabling light to illuminate the polished Sterling Silver, too. The Antique Sterling Silver Compote is styled in accordance with the Art Nouveau Era; exhibiting traits of (late) Victorianism with that of varying Revivals as well. Despite the age of the Antique being nearly (125) years, it's in great condition. With the exception of some superficial scuff marks, the Compote has retained both its structural integrity & aesthetics.
