Crystal Lalique is the ultimate symbol of french luxury, so it has been said. Produced circa 1940, this elegant set of 6 Lalique salad or dessert plates are very special! The pattern is "Intaglio" and it presents as a central cherub (which almost looks three dimensional), with an intertwined braided garland forming an "Eternal Love Knot" around the cherub. They are exquisite!!!!
They are just over 8" in diameter, and each one is in perfect condition with no chips or scratches.
Lalique crystal is very expensive because it is so costly to produce, with the glass molds costing from $5,000 to 1,000, and to train a craftsman takes from 5 10 10 years.
These plates would add so much to an elegant table setting!
