This Eiffel Tower telephone circa 1890+ was manufactured by Ericcson of Sweden. It is also called a "skeletal telephone as you can see all the components. These were very popular all over the western world at the time, and are still highly collectible. They were made with and without the "tear drops" hanging from the hook switch and this one has them. You can almost never find them with the tear drops as those who own them will not part with them. The celluloid mouthpiece and ear piece are not chipped and the cord has very few frays. It comes complete with the round wiring distribution network that was mounted on the wall. The iron legs also served as the permanent magnet for the crank ringer. It is in excellent condition but it is not modified for today's telephone lines. This phone is in great demand by collectors, and quite a conversation piece!!!
