17" French bisque Bebe "Phenix Star" by Jules Steiner Successors
This spunky young girl has a bisque socket head, stunning blue glass paperweight eyes, skillfully painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, a blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Her bisque head is perfect with no flaws or restorations of any kind. The finish of her body is original.
Excellent condition, original body and body finish, antique burgundy silk dress, undergarments, leather shoes, and a lovely antique velvet hat, which compliments her factory dress well. Her original dress has some of the melting effects that plague antique silk. Her socks are the same color with age-related fading from the bright burgundy. The whole look displays very well. I value original costumes highly and expect some age-related damage to the fabric. She has pierced ears and garnet earrings.
