This early doll (1830-1860) has a papier-mache shoulder head with black sculpted hair in a short curly style with brush strokes framing her face. She has painted facial features, which are somewhat faded but no repaint shows with blacklight. Her body is muslin, carved wooden lower arms, legs and feet with painted green shoes. Given her age her condition is good. She wears an appropriate dress made of lace with original underclothing.
