10"  Sonneberg Bisque Doll with Rare Body Style and Original Folklore Costume - image 1 of 10

This elegant doll has a solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket designed to fit the dowel protruding from her torso, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, original blonde mohair wig, with a Sonneberg composition and wooden fully jointed body with straight wrists. The wide-eyed closed mouth child with rare dowel-attachment body is wearing well-detailed antique folklore costume with very rare coiffe.
Condition: She is in excellent condition with perfect bisque and original body finish. Her original costume is perfect.
Marks: 2 on the back of her head. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1885, maker unknown.
