The backstamp on this set dates it to 1910-1920 Noritake, is from their Art Deco period and would beautifully grace the table or shelf. We see the Deco accents in the hand painted tracks of narrow black and turquoise geometric patterns that separate the sections of multi-colored flower bouquets that add a touch of Art Nouveau, as well as in the scalloped beige/gold trim circling each piece. The bold, wide bands of bright golden yellow with gold trim draw the eye and sets this pattern apart from many that followed. This Luncheon Set for two includes two 7 ½” luncheon plates, two cups and two saucers, plus the matching creamer and sugar with its lid. All are in very nice condition, but with noticeable wear in two places to the black paint on one luncheon plate, seen in the photo where it's pointed out. This is a striking vintage luncheon set with its wide, sunny golden yellow bands in a pattern we'd never seen before, and in wonderful condition, especially considering its age. Please see all photos and contact me with any questions.
