Polychrome Aesthetic Transferware Dinner Plates - Set of Four in the Late Mayers Melbourne
Pattern dating to 1892 made by Gildea & Walker Potteries, Tunstall, Staffordshire, England.
Design of plates is a Japanesque design with exotic palm trees and birds along with a variety of
florals all laid out in a geometric style. Colors are cream background with gray with the red and yellow accents being most dominant.
There are no chips but plates do have crazing throughout. These four dinner sized plates which are great for
display measure 10 1/2" in diameter and have an approximately 1 3/4" slightly raised rim.
