Fabulous 19th c. Victorian French or English mahogany library bookcase with a flared cornice over two glazed arched glass doors encasing four adjustable shelves. Supported on a regency style protruding base that features acanthus leaf corbels and two flame mahogany paneled doors that conceal two shelf areas above two slide out cube style compartments. This great antique cased piece has a beautiful patina with simple detailing and accented with glass knobs. Appears to be all original and in active use in a smoke and pet free home. It has been well cared for and a much loved family piece. We believe the top is secured to base by screws visible on inside surface of base.
Base of cabinet measures 33.5" in height and depth of upper section is 15".
