Late 19th century neoclassical console table and mirror fashioned in the Louis XVI style. Crafted of natural mahogany ebonized wood. This exquisite set features porcelain and gilt bronze decorations throughout. The console rests on six straight fluted legs with curved stretchers that are decorated with gilt bronze bell flower and acanthus leaf details. A stepped in rectangular beveled edge marble top compliments the inlaid wood belt highlighted with ormolu foliage and multiple porcelain medallions. The rim of the medallions is chiseled with a laurel wreath and ribbon. In the center and gilded bronze medallion featuring winged figures.
The rectangular mirror with beveled glass is decorated with twenty two porcelain medallions surrounded by gilt bronze. . The mirror is topped by a bronze medallion that matches base. Both pieces are additionally decorated with diamond shaped mother of pearl inlays. Absolutely stunning set that is in mint condition! Dimensions: 53.25ʺW × 16.75ʺD × 33.5ʺH. Mirror measures 42.75" W and 37.5" H with a 1" depth. Set is in amazing condition for age and has been in the family for multiple generations. Originally purchased while traveling through Italy.
