Delightful 1950s Shell Cameo 'En Habillé' Beauties in 14k Gold Studs

These 1950s 14k earrings feature a cameo portrait of a lovely lady 'en habillé' (French for 'dressed'). This is what it is called when the cameo has jewelry on. In this case the two ladies are wearing 14k and diamond "necklaces." These are a treat to find and more unusual than other portrait cameos. The size of these is a nice statement on the earlobe with subtle gold work that lets the carved shell cameos be the star of the show.

These vintage cameo and 14k gold earrings are in excellent condition. The cameos are in great shape with NO damage or crazing. They are secure in their gold bezels. The gold is very nice with a high polish and the 14k gold earring backs are tight (but not too tight!).

These 1950s gold and carved cameo lady portrait studs measure apx. 0.85" tall by 0.68" wide. The natural diamonds are about 1.40mm each with an estimated total weight of 0.03 carats. The diamonds are round brilliants with a grade of H-I in color and SI2 in clarity. The back of each earring is stamped 14k and ITALY. The pair altogether weighs 4.56 grams.
