Vintage antique mottled clay piggy bank in shape of a pig from the 1890s. The colors used are brown, blue, and red. There is a crack on the left side; looks to have been done during the mfg. process because the crack has been glazed over. The pig bank is 3 ½ inches long, 2 inches tall, and 2 inches wide. Usually there is no hole in the bottom because they were made to be broken open to get the money out. This is why there are not a lot of these around today. The last ones I had were made in Czechoslovakia in the 1890s. The eyes go into the inside of the bank. The bank is still in pretty good shape despite the flaw. The bank is still solid.
