Vintage pink Depression glass round butter dish and lid in the Sierra/pin wheel pattern by Jeannette from 1931-33. The butter dish is 5 7/8 inches across its base and approx. 4 inches tall to the finial. Like most pieces of Sierra this one is not mint either. There are two flea bites on the rim teeth. They are not easy to see but they are there. Jeannette had problems with this pattern in that it was hard to produce because it was too fragile. Also, they had problems with bubbles and straw marks. This is the best butter dish that I have seen in the last 30 years in this pattern because of the fragile nature of the pattern. I did not see any problems with the lid.
