Vintage large Guardian ware roaster from 1930-56 still in good usable condition. The cast aluminum pan with its original glass lid was made by the Century Metalcraft Corp. from Chicago, Illinois. They made this line of cooking ware from 1933-56. This roaster is 12 ½ inches by 10 inches and 8 ¼ inches tall to the top of the domed glass lid. The pan itself is 4 inches deep. The glass lid has a few chips out of it on the inside part of the rim. This will not affect the function of roasting. This pan was made during World War Two because during this period , the company made lids of glass and not of cast aluminum because of the shortage of aluminum for the war effort. This used roaster will cook just like it was new again!
