10 % OFF Vintage advertising mug for Round Oak stoves from 1907 with the Indian Chief Doe-Wah-Jack on the mug. The mug was made in 1907. On the bottom is written: Compliments of Estate of P.D. Beckwith Dowagiag, Mich. Makers of good goods only 1907. Beckwith started his company in 1871 and died in 1889. His son-in-law took over in 1900 and added cook stoves and furnaces. The fictional Indian Chief Doe-Wah-Jack was used as a mascot from 1900 to 1946 when the company closed their doors. The mug is 5 inches tall and 3 inches across the rim. There are minor scratch marks here and there with a paint flake missing here and there. The base shows paint rubbed off on it's base. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. The mug is Porcelain and not pottery.
