20% OFF Up for your consideration are 6 gorgeous old porcelain Nippon hand painted round open salt cellars that are 3-footed dating from 1890-1921
still in excellent conditon! Five are in excellent vintage condition while one has a flake missing on it's rim but the previous owner matched the gold paint fairly close. Nippon salt cellars were very popular in America starting in the late 1860s. The Nippon mark translates to Japan. The US required imports to be marked Nippon from 1890 to 1921 when they required that the mark be in English. All of these salt cellars are marked Nippon. They are 3" in diameter and stand 1 1/4" tall. The colors are still bright and scenery very vivid. The rims are all accented with gold paint.
