This whimsical and rare double handled vase designed by Eva Zeisel in one of her specialty designs, polka dots, was made from 1928-1930. Blue, green and dark reddish polka dots adorn a creamy white background. The handles are trimmed in brown. The tops of each handle have two brown leaf like designs. Art Deco in style. The bottom is stamped HANDPAINTED Schramberg Germany with SMF in the center. The numbers 1770 are incised into the piece. Measurements: 3 3/4 inches high, handles measure 10 inches across , opening is 2 1/2 inches wide. Condition: very good vintage condition. One handle has a worn spot and a small chip and the inside rim has 2 tiny flea bites. There are paint misses under the glaze and wear to the bottom of the piece. It is free of cracks and repairs.
