This is a lovely pair of vintage art pottery vases, in the shape of calla lilies. They are primarily pink, with very light shadings of off-white, in some areas. They have trumpet-shaped bodies and leaf-shaped bases. They were made by a Southern California company called California Art Products, Inc.. In the 1940s and 1950s, this company made gift items. These vases are from the company’s Hollywood Ware line number 939. Each vase has that number on the bottom of it (see image #4), although the last 9 is not as clear as the other 2 numbers. This line should not be confused with the Hollywood Ware line of dinnerware that was made by a different California company, in the mid-century. These vases also originally had foil labels on them that contained the following information: Artistry from Hollywood, Color from California, Hollywood Ware, Made in California, California Art Products, Inc.. Over the years, the labels have fallen off and been destroyed. Image #5, however, shows what the label looked like. The labeled pottery in image #5 is not for sale.
Each vase is about 5 inches wide (at its base) by 7 1/2 inches high (from the base to its tallest point).
These items are in good vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
